UPDATE FOR SEPTEMBER

As I mentioned in my August Blog, I exhibited at the Fayette Arts Festival on September 12. The event was moved indoors to the Bevil College Auditorium as the Park site was flooded by the rains that week. The event was still well-attended but I think it
was more congested indoors.
I still had to set up my tent even though we were indoors as I had to have the supports which attached to the tent supports. This made my space seem more congested and few people wandered into the tent but made a stop in front and glanced about. I noticed that some exhibitors had the wire supports that were self-standing and the works were noticed more readily. So I learned something there if I ever want to do it again.
My family and I ejoyed the day very much and met a number of great exhibitors and attendees alike. I consider my exhibit a success even though I did not sell many paintings. I think I have prospects of future sales when the economy improves. I ran close competition with the Purchase Award winner and that made me feel good.
I took 55 paintings - large and small ones - so packing and unpacking and then packing to bring home again was tiresome. They are as yet sitting in my studio and guest room waiting to be unpacked and put away. Major work!
Now that all that fuss is over, I will try to start producing again. I bought a couple small paintings to put away for Christmas gifts. I think they make wonderful gifts for any occasion and the receivers always seem surprised and pleased. Christmas will be upon us soon.
More news later.
