About the Artist
Welcome to my Gallery
I was born in Pennsylvania but moved to Ohio after finishing school. I worked for many years as executive secretary in a large firm in Ohio. After the children were grown and gone and I was alone, I decided to take some classes from a local well-known artist. So, every Tuesday night after I left the office, I went to her classes and continued there for about ten years until I moved South. So I have been painting well over thirty years.
My daughter had moved south when she married and upon learning she was expecting, I decided to retire and follow her. I love the South -- the people are wonderful and the winters are great.
I was very active in the local art association for many years, having served as president, vice president, secretary and doing whatever was needed. We held annual art shows and workshops with well-known artists from the south. My style of realism has evolved from all these efforts. I strive to take the viewer into the actual setting -- be it a landscape I'm working on -- or a floral setup. I work in oils, acrylics, watercolors and wc pencils.
My work has won awards and is in collections in the North as well as California and here in the South.
I hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as I have enjoyed presenting it for you.
